Default No Gmail Emails or Browser Icons

Please Login to Remove!

I picked up a 8100 from a buddy and just swapped my sim card from my 8700 (on AT&T/Cingular). Did the BES activation and all is well, with the exception that I'm not receiving any of my gmail emails and I don't have any "icons" for web browsers.

At start-up, I'm receiving an error that reads: Uncaught exception: ApplicationRegistry. wait for (0xac3ae76427d17f19) timeout

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I have no clue what the problem is or how to go about fixing it.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

first, you'll need to change your pin and imei on the BIS website for your email setup. The BIS service doesn't know you changed pin/imei.

As for your browser, have you gone to Options >Advanced Options >Host Routing Table >Menu key >Register now?

As far as the error, not sure on that one.

You need to setup BIS account with AT&T, configure Gmail and push service book to your device. As far as errors go you might want to reload firmware (clean install) and see if they come back. Make sure you backup your data if you have any.

A reload of the OS will certainly fix it. There have been issues in the past with Cingular devices having the browser removed by the desktop manager in error. That could be the case here. As the above poster stated, probably best to reload the OS. If you're going to do that, you might as well upgrade to the latest.

Here's a thread that will explain how to do it.

How do I go about setting up the BIS account AT&T? Is this something I can do or is this something that our corporate people will have to do?

Also, if I do load the latest OS, will I have to do enterprize activation again? I'd rather not do that, if at all possible, cause our corporate people get picky if you start going around them.

Again, all help is greatly appreciated.

You should already have a BIS account if you were getting gmail on your previous 8700 blackberry https://bis.na.blackberry.com/html?b...ular&locale=en As far as EA after upgrade\reload you should be able to do it via Desktop Manager while on corporate network.

And if that doesn't work, simply call your IT dept and they can give you a password to enter into the EA menu.
