I've tried the new 18.104.22.168 / 22.214.171.124 firwmare and found again the same recurring problem that I'm experiencing consitently. The process goes on smoothly but at the end I've got no coverage with the red SOS signal
My 8100 device came with the 126.96.36.199 version installed from Movistar, my carrier here in Spain. I'm managing a lot of devices 8100 & 8800 through BES but I cannot upgrade the OS. Everytime I try I end up the same way, the red SOS.
I've tried the software downloads available here at the BlackBerry site
for Telefonica Spain and i've only managed to install package v188.8.131.52 / 184.108.40.206 but even the latest package 220.127.116.11 / 18.104.22.168 doesn't work.
It seems as if the device can only work with OS's supplied by my carrier and even not all of them. I've followed your advice and deleted the vendor.xml, and as you can see I can go through the upgrade process but the device doesn't like it.
