I'm new to BB having come over from the Motorola Razr. I like the 8100, but I still miss some of the features of the V3. Like the ability the insert quick messages from a drop down menu. I don't know why a unit as well thought out as the BB does not have that feature, it saves ALOT of key punching.

But thats another topic, my question is how to do I delete multiple messages from my inbox? On the motorola it was- delete>all?>messages read only?>confirm and there ya go, inbox cleared.

Searches on deleting sms messages, and delete inbox, only returned threads about guys with units deleting messages ad hoc. Currently I have 30 read messages in my box, I want to clean out, but has to be a better way then one at time?

Just food for thought BamaRider, that the BlackBerry can hold plenty more than 30 messages in the message box.

You may want yours neat and tidy, which is all personal preference, but I thought I would just let you know that I currently have 2941 messages in my box

Over 2,000 messages in your inbox?? I should be so important, because I'm RETIRED, the only important messages I tend keep are the sexy ones I sometimes get from my SO, now those are ALWAYS fun to go back and read

There's nothing wrong with that!

And yes! Typically I have 2500+ messages in my message box at any given time. It clears out messages that are older than 15 days.
