Default A2dp

Please Login to Remove!

Damn, I just posted this and it said I had blank fields in my profile and I guess it didn't post this. I'll make sure I copy this time -.-....

Anyway, I haven't been on the forums in a while and last I heard the Pearl didn't support A2DP. I watched Attack of the Show the other week and saw the new Venturi Mini. I really want this for my car so I can listen to my music with the car speakers instead of a headset.

Any word on if the Pearl supports A2DP?

Nope....not yet. 4.2.2 OS's and up. Hopefully when 4.3 is released for the Pearl we'll have that feature.

Whoah...... Look, Cory. I tried doing the search on A2DP, and I didn't see anything that was updated on this. Sorry for getting your panties in a whirl.

Not my site and the Mod has already said it, but you really need to relax and quit acting as though you're the forum cop. Geez man if you don't think a post meets your lofty standards, just ignore it. How hard is that?

Default A2dp

Is the A2DP capability, only a firmware thing? I mean the hardware would be capable if they come out with firmware that would allow it?

Anyway I hope it happens

this i dont know maybe someone with technology specs would know if this is hardware or software, i tho find it wierd that they didnt include it cuz the pearl is more targeted towards the consumer world and not business world, so i find it wierd that they havent done it yet.

the only reason i can see RIM not doing it yet, is because they are going to use the A2DP for a main selling point for the Pearl 2

It's capable hardware wise. I'm able to get my Pearl to play music over bluetooth headphones in stereo by using the web browser method so it's possible, they just need to add the profile which is why is subject is so frustrating for some people. A simple file or two add to a directory and we have a2dp support.

So there are no options out there to use an FM Transmitter to listen to your mp3's on your pearl through your car stereo?

You can get an FM transmitter that plugs into the headphone jack of the pearl (you'll probably need the 2.5 to 3.5 converter too).

However, I think you'll find the sound quality isn't that great.

As stated before; and you must refine the search to get what your after.

I used "Pearl A2DP" as my search criteria, and I found this:

http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...-a2dp-not.html

I actually posted critical info to your querry then.
http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...tml#post596075

so NOT yet but soon.
