I just upgraded to OS 4.2.1.107, and 3 problems arose:
One, when i use multi-tap, sometimes, it doesn't work right.for example: if i try to type snowboard, it might come out as sbboboaeed. when i try to type n by rapidly pressing the b/n button, it just comes out as bb
Another problems is that i can't use the suretap/multitap shortcut (hold * in text field)
finally, when i receive a call, colorpearl just shuts off, and reverts the trackball to its default white setting

anyone else having these problems

I can't say that Ive noticed the first problem or that I use color pearl but the second is true.

Ive noticed this in my past couple of OSs but if this is your first upgrade since .64 then I think this is the first time that you've seen this. You just have to chane to multi/suretype in the menu.

Your 1st issue is a known problem, reported by other people.

I use SureType almost exclusively, and really find it works great. If you haven't given SureType a few days of trying it, you might want to. As it adds your common words to it's word list, it's accuracy improves greatly. I'd say it gets the word right about 95% of the time now.

As for the shortcut no longer working, yeah, RIM removed it after .64, not sure exactly which OS version, but it has been removed for quite some time. I really don't understand why they removed it, I used it alot.

I"m on T-Mo, OS .107, and don't have the Color Pearl issue you report. Sorry I couldn't be of help.

Oh, my 1 remaining issue is the display of the ABC icon on the Home Page! Drives me NUTS!!! Also forces me to switch back to SureType often. Otehrwise, 107 has been stable and speedy on my Pearl.

Yes I have seen that it was like after I upgraded to .107 my suretype remembering thing erased. So when it remembered all my commonly used words I have to start from scratch. That is it though.
