ok so I'll make this quick
I've done some searching on these forums for a solution but to be honest I havnt found anything that has helped yet
I may have overlooked something, I hope I did and someone can help me
Problem 1-
Whenever a picture gets sent to me it will give me this message where I can hit the blackberry menu button and click "retrieve now"
everytime I do this it will basically say "failed"
I can not remember the precise lingo because its been a few days since someones tried to send me a picture.
Regardless, whenever a picture is sent to me it is virtually impossible to have it "retrieved" ALSO it is virtually impossible to SEND any pictures to ANYONE. IT ALWAYS FAILS!!!!!!!
I am on at&t....was previously cingular
and I have an unlimited data plan
I have the multimedia reception in the option sent to always as well as automatic retrieval set to always. both of my message filtering options are disabled.
Problem 2:
Whenever I attempt to connect to MEdia Net I get the HTTP Error 403 Forbidden
"You are not authorized to view this page...."
Press your menu button (or trackwheel), choose register now. Wait a minute, pull your battery, put it back on, and test. You may be missing an MMS and medianet book. If it doesn't work, call them. You may be missing an APN that allows access to their portal (medianet and MMS need that APN).
Or try going to the at&t wireless home page and going into the tech support chat room (you can get there through the Support link, IIRC). I have found them to be more able to correct a BB problem than folks on the phone.
Good luck.

I changed your title. There are several "Tech support" people here who are very helpful to our members. I don't think your thread title was appropriate.
I am an AT&T customer and I had the exact same problem as you.
The issue is that although you have unlimited data you do not have a messaging plan. AT&T keeps those separate. You may also want to check your bill cause if you are sending text messages you are paying per message sent and received. You would need to add a messaing plan onto your unlimited data. I switched to one of those for like $5 more per month and it works great.
Hope this helps!
