Fairlly new (3mo) to the 8100 and most all has been fairly self explanitory, but one thing is perplexing me. I have the wireless icon, what is this for .... using a wifi network to send and recieve data and the "edge" svc is for when no wireless network is avail(using att to get data)?? I did use serch for this topic but after 20 pages....no luck ..... can someone explain this feature for me?

I don't think the 8100 has WiFi. I think the wireless refers to cell service.

Call it "Airplane mode."
