You have to go back and double check the settings. Mind didn't carry over when I upgraded my OS under T-Mobile either

You got it, alslsb. They will not transfer over your previous profile settings over after the update.

Go into Menu -> Profiles, select the ring Profile you would like to edit.
It will activate that profile, and kick you back to the home screen.
Go back into Menu -> Profiles, scrolled down and select Advanced, then scroll the ring Profile you just activated. It will give you all the options and settings to modify.

Do some tinkering around to your liking. And enjoy!

Most likely if you went from 4.2.0.64 to 4.2.1.107 then you were using a ringtone that isn't included in the new OS.

Otherwise, all my profiles are backed up and restored during the OS upgrades.

Really, John? None of mine have ever carried over.
Not even the MP3 I use from my Media Card... I'm curious now.

If you're mapping to the sd card then it may not carry over. I always use ringtones that are on the device memory and always have my profiles after an OS upgrade.

That's interesting to me..

On the updates I've performed.. I've always had to redo my profiles...
I use stock tones for messaging and paging alerts.. and my ringtone is the only one custom mapped...

And all have had to be reset.

Jumping from 73 to 107 can be understandable.. but on the other updates I've done either re-doing my 73 updates, or 64 to 73.. had to redo.

Are you on a BES? It's possible that my profiles are coming back during the Enterprise Activation. I never touch the BB until the OS is reloaded and the Activation is complete, so I don't know what it does between the restore and the activation.
