I paid for the insurance up front when I bought the phone, through the AT&T store. It was $119, but a one time use only. I did have to use it, because I lost my phone. It took a couple days, but I got a new Pearl at no extra cost. Now, I did ask the question: What happens if this happens again? The guy at the store said: New Pearl $300. So, I bought the insurance again at $119. I did ask AT&T customer service, but they don't offer insurance on the phone.
