The addon costs nothing and allows your phone to function like a normal device with regard to sending and receiving MMS and accessing t-zones.
I was at the T-Mobile store just right now.. and surprise, it worked while I was there. How dumb. I guess it's more of an on and off problem. I'm trying to do a warranty replacement for my door latch.
