i have ATT pearl and i think i was able to dial phone numbers before i set up my address book. Now every time i press phone button and try to type a phone number it types the corresponding letter instead of number and try to search the address book, which would be ok but i dont want that. i just want to type a phone number.
i tried to press the Alt key and at the top right corner it says Num but i still does not type any?
Also, i tried to send SMS and select Use Once and tried the same thing with no luck, it only type letters. i switched input types multiple times with no luck.

any help?

pull your battery out for 30 secs then start it up again.

Try this. If you just press the numbers, no shift or ALT key numbers will appear. If you press anthing other than a number it will switch to name search mode. Hope that helps.
