Default Got a new Pearl yesterday and missed 3 calls already - 09-16-2007, 04:07 PM

Hi guys...

Am I doing something wrong or is this the way this thing works. I don't have a holster.

When I get a call, only the display comes on initially, the number/ name shows up... EVENTUALLY, the ringer starts to go and I don't believe I had it vibrating...

I'm guessing this is the way it is... :(

No, it should ring, so long as you have it set to do so (sound like you do, but just in case check this out: How do I edit my notification tones (profiles)? - BlackBerryFAQ)

If you have it set the correct way, try a hard reboot by removing/reinserting the battery.

I'm wondering if it's just running slowly. A couple of things to try:

Validate that you have memory free - press ALT+ESCR - this will show you "file free" - if you have little or no free memory, it will slow quite a lot. If this is the case, removing applications will help.

Validate that you have the latest firmware.

$45.00 - Unlimited BlackBerry Data, BIS, 1500 SMS/MMS.

Are there any add-ons to have a vibration or tone repeat notification? I miss calls/SMS/emails all the time.
