Post Pearl won't connect to DM

Please Login to Remove!

I can't get my pearl to connect to DM. I keep getting "a communication error occured while attempting to establish a connection with the device. Please reconnect the device to initiate a new connection."

I've hooked my wife's pearl up to the same pc with no problems, so I'm convinced it's a setting issue in my pearl.

Any ideas?

well, there is not a desktop manager setting issue on the pearl, but i would do this:

--Reboot bot the PC and the BB (while powered on, battery pull and replace).

--Make certain the USB connection to the PC is direct to the PC and not through a USB hub.

Try the connection again, laying the BB down so as to not disturb it. You could have a bad USB port on the BB (hopefully not), and if you get a connection, at least make sure you do a BB backup in DM.

Which version of the Desktop Manager are you using? You may try uninstalling it and reinstalling the latest version, which is 4.2 SP2. Also, what is the version of Windows you are using?

Rebooted the 'berry, problem solved.
