I recently sold my 8100 (unlocked) to a nice lady in Australia on Ebay. Everything works fine with the phone down under, except that she can't call or text from the address book and now she is talking about returning it. Does anyone know how to change the country settings on an 8100? Please help.

The only options are under Phone >Options >Smart Dialing >Set the country code there. Is she able to send them manually to a number? If she has the same number in the address book the country code change may help.

That's probably what it is. I'm loooking at my friends' AT&T 8100 and I don't see Smart Dialing under Options. Is it in a sub-menu somewhere?

Jack, go to the phone dialer screen, then options... as JC described aboved. This is not the main option/settings from the homescreen.
