how do u take off the backlight of the keyboard off because it makes my color ball look lighter

still having trouble as soon as my backlight goes off so does my trackball so i cant see its full color or is it just like that

What's making your pearl color wash out is the white led under the pearl. I put a very small piece of electrical tape over it and I have a nice blue pearl all the time. It does require removing the trackball, though. But it worked great.
