Default Lost Browser

Hey everyone, I downloaded an application that screwed with my blackberry pretty nicely. First things first, my internet browser icon has disappeared and I do not know how to access it. Secondly, I have an error message when i start up the phone and when i try to open the help function. I have tried a hard reboot by taking out the battery...nothing. I have wiped the handheld clean and loaded the newest operating system and then loaded my latest database. However, I still do not have a browser icon and still getting some errors. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'm guessing you have a Red Pearl from AT&T/Cingular and you used the Desktop Manager to try and install an app. This was an issue with the red Pearl OS (not available anymore.)

You will need to reload/upgrade the device software. You can find the instructions here. The version AT&T has out now is an upgrade. Follow the instructions in the thread.

Or if you want the latest for the Pearl, it's released by TMo and can be found here. I recommend using the latest from TMo but it's up to you. They'll all work the same (regardless of the carrier that released them.)
