i got the pearl maybe....a good three weeks ago. the guy said i could bring it back if i dont like it(within 30 days). i wanted to upgrade to the curve just because it can recieve files from bluetooth(unless the pearl is capable of doing so then please tell me. i was trying to get the crank ringtone, but got it through emailing myself,sweet!) and it's a little faster than the pearl. all i had to do what pay the difference. this is what the salesman told me. im new to cingular/att btw(individual plan). i also turned down the internet option because i didnt really need it. basic+unlimited texts to anyone

i wanted to know if i should upgrade or not. what are the pros and cons of both phones?

and on the side, does anyone know other movies where a cell phone was involved? ex: Crank...etc.

You can find a multitude of comparisons of those BBs here on the board. The main difference is the size and keyboard. The Curve will do video slightly better.

I have sent and recieved files via bluetooth before. I think it all depends on the phone sending the file. I know some Verizon phones cant send or recieve media files from other phones. 8100 = small size and suretype. 8300 = full qwerty keyboard. Thats the main diffrence between them.

Usually, on the BB, a step is missed. On the receiving BB you have to go to Media then the folder you want to receive the file into and then select "receive using bluetooth." Then send from the other phone. It's always worked for me.
