what's the media manager that installed with desktop manager? do i need it, is there a way to uninstall?

You could use it move media, ringtones, pictures, etc., to a Micro SD card, should you have one installed to your BB.

Your choice.

If you don't want it you can go to the blackberry website and download the latest DM without media manager. It's available with or without.
