Since I can't add my hotmail account what is another email i can use that will work good for my blackberry?

GMail and Yahoo work best

You can add a hotmail account, you just need to upgrade to the Hotmail Plus. You could forward the hotmail to a gmail account, and setup gmail on the BB, as a workaround, or temporary step until you decide otherwise.

Whilst not really an option for me, I'd be tempted to look to Yahoo, because of the instant delivery and tight integration. As far as I understand it, Yahoo also offers two-way reconcile with BIS 2.4.

Gmail and yahoo work best as far as email I've used! I have an old Hotmail that they still allow to pop. Love being grandfathered!

I would say Yahoo for better instant delivery and reconciliation, but GMail has better filters and SPAM control, IMO. But you really can't go wrong with either. I have heard of users with GMail getting old e-mails delivered to their handheld on certain occassions. Hasn't happened to me, though.

Another vote for either Gmail or Yahoo. I've personally had better luck with Gmail as far as instantaneous delivery, but both are great.

All of my friends are using Yahoo and love it.

I have signed up for Hotmail plus and hotmail now has an option under options to forward mail to another email account. I forward mine to my @mycingular.blackberry.net email and let me tell you, its really fast! With the hotmail plus you can have an option to leave mail on the hotmail server so if you delete it on your handset you can always go back and view it on your computer. I setup the reply to email on my blackberry account to my hotmail so nobody knows that I am using my blackberry

I Use AOL Account in my blackberry and works fine! quick and replication is fast...
