Post Pearl Deleting messages

Please Login to Remove!

I have the pearl and it keeps deleting my messages everyday. I have the settings to keep messages for 15 days but everyday they are all deleted. sometimes more than once a day. What can I do to fix this? Do I need to exchange it?

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8100/4.2.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/180)

I know ur problem.. It is about device memory.. First you should look up your memory on status tab.. If it is less than 1mb you r in a trouble.. Clear your cache and delete unused applicatians.. I did it and now no problem..

If it's less than 15Mb, you can be in trouble.

The most common reason for this is low memory. Did you check your memory? Did you try a reboot by removing the battery with the device powered on? The other reason for this can be a time/date that is wrong.

15 Mb is low. Even though you set 12 Mb to be the pic limit it can still use more than 12Mb for pics. I suggest getting an SD card for your pics and setting the pic limit to 0. That will likely fix your problem.

Essentially with 15Mb free and 12Mb reserved for pics you only have 3Mb free. Follow the advice in the FAQ's. Rebooting the device is the first step. Remove the battery while powered on and reinsert. That will free up some memory.

Make sure you set that picture memory to 0 and set your camera to save pictures to sd card by default.

Then get rid of the languages, sample video, and anything else you don't need. I have quite a few 3rd party apps and after a reboot I have 30Mb free. After a few days it's down around 22-25
