I have a T-Mobile Pearl. I just updated to 4.2.1.107 . There used to be a reminder that would tell you if you'd set your alarm on a day that touched a weekend day whether or not the weekend alarm option was turned on.

That has gone away with the new update. Help! I almost missed an important meeting this morning because my phone did not tell me that the weekend function was not on.

If I can't find a solution, where do I find the old OS version so that I can switch back?

You can certainly downgrade. However, you'll have to search through the different providers websites for a 4.2.0 version.

Why not just set the device to have the alarm active on weekends?

My alarm functions the same with 107 as it did with 4.2.0.64. I routinely have the alarm inactive on weekends. What exactly is the difference you're seeing?

Prior to the update I would have to save changes to my alarm settings prior to exiting. I would also receive a warning if I set an alarm on a Friday night and the weekend option was not set to yes it would prompt me and say that the next time the alarm would go off was Monday October 1st etc...

It no longer does this.

I know it's a small thing, but I've been used to the other way for over a year and now it's been changed. I'm not a big fan of change.

Ah, now I understand. I did notice that you don't have to save changes anymore, they automatically save themselves. I don't think there's any way to change this.

As far as the reminder, I never personally saw this, but it sounds like a nice feature. In fact, I almost missed a flight this last Saturday for this very reason.

I think you may have to downgrade to get these back.

Yeah, I remember having to save my changes too. I don't remember the warning about the weekend calendar though as I've always had mine to set to be active on weekends. I kind of like not having to save the changes.

I just checked my phone and it still has the option of being "active on weekends" just like every old OS did. I don't see what your talking about.

Did you read the first post?

I think he said that if you tried to set an alarm for Saturday and you had your phone set to only alarm on weekdays it would warn you about it. Now it doesn't, you have to remember to set it to alarm on weekends too.
