Welcome to the forums.

First, do you have a data plan on the phone? If so, the easiest way is to download via the BB's browser.

I don't have a data plan, but I wouldn't mind using a few minutes here and there to get stuff on there.

I do have a tiny sd card, and the adapter that lets it plug into my laptop. Thats how I made this my wallpaper...

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 8700g: BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

Since you don't have a data plan, you will need to install the applications via the Desktop Manager. This is a CD that should have come with the BlackBerry, or you can download it from the BlackBerry web site. Installation files for the BlackBerry will usually consist of an .alx file, and a .cod file. Once you install the Desktop Manager, you can then use the Application Loader module to browse out to the .alx file for installation.

Gotcha. I was unaware of this software. My dad got the pearl, and when he came to visit me at school, we switched sim cards and now he is going to take my phone and its kit home to return for another pearl. He was going to send me the kit that came with his pearl. Ill pick up that software and make due without the kit in the meantime. Thanks for the help.

Are there any websites that are a reliable source of pearl software?

again, thanks for the help.

You can get the Desktop Manager here:

BlackBerry - BlackBerry - Sys Req V4-2 Pack 2

You'll just need a standard usb to mini usb cable.

Good luck!
