Default How can I unlock my t-mobile pearl to Att? - 10-02-2007, 02:36 PM

I don't use my pearl anymore, but it would be a great backup phone to use on ATT. Is there a way I can unlock it myself, or do I have to call? thanks!

If you still have a T-Mobile account that is in good standing (paid up) and you have been with them for 90-days or more then you need to call customer service and they will send you an unlock code in a day or two via email

They don't really care why you unlock it... It's a service they provide for free to T-Mobile customers in good standing....

No need to tell them why you want the code, just tell them you want it...

But will the T-mo device run on AT&T? Or is that Verizon and Sprint that are CDMA?

A T-Mo device will run on at&t or vice-versa... Neither will work on Sprint or Verizon as they are CDMA carriers

Thanks for the information. I always have trouble remembering who is CDMA and who is GSM.

Thanks Lunk!

There may well be cheaper services out there, but I used Chris at cellphonerepair.org to get codes from, for $29, and his service was top-notch. Just an fyi in case Tmob doesn't do ya right...

no, t-mobile worked awesome, I was only on hold for 5 min and the rep was extremely nice. I still have the service, but in my area, coverage for att is better .
