Default Emails not being sent from 8100

I have a problem with a Blackberry user who is currently in Australia.

Since 28th September, he has been unable to send any email from his Blackberry. I have been told that he is receiving emails and he can also send and receive SMS texts.

I am wondering if his Blackberry memory is full, as looking at his mailbox on Exchange, it has over 850 unread messages and is over 200mb in size. However, if the Blackberry was full, I wouldn't expect him to be able to receive emails either? I can send items from his mailbox on Exchange without issue, so it does look like the problem is on the Blackberry itself.

Has anyone come across a similar situation before and if so, any ideas on how I can fix it please?

Thanks

BIS or BES? Have the tried a hard reset? How about updating the HRT's? I would start there.

Has he plugged the device in to the desktop manager that may have been improperly installed?

I had this problem before, i was able to receive emails but not reply to them. I just resent my service books and it was fine.

Am using BES v 4.0.4.6. He has only had the phone a fortnight, so would I be right in thinking the HRT should be ok as it is newly registered anyway? It has definitely been working until he got to Australia.

Unfortunately, I can't get him to connect to Desktop Manager as he hasn't taken his laptop with him!

I will get him to try a reset and resend the service books and see what happens.

Thanks for the advice.

Update:

I've tried to resend the Service Books, but it just has a status of Pending on the IT Admin tab in BES.

I've also sent the Service Books to my Blackberry at the same time and that has updated successfully straight away.
