Default Blackberry Pearl Question

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

I just got my Blackberry Perl and I love it.

I just had a question about the internet. My provider offers GPRS internet. I was wondering if i can use GPRS on my Blackberry since it is GPRS capable. And how do I input the settings? (I know the settings from my provider)

Or am i going wrong somewhere?

Thanks

You can use standard GPRS data plans but you won't get push email nor will you be able to use the built in browser. You'll be able to use some 3rd party apps including Opera Mini browser. Here are the settings and a link to Opera.

Is there any Email program other than the one in the Blackberry device that will work with GPRS?

GMail app will work. The trick is getting it to the device with no data plan.

New Gmail App and BB Application Loader!

Then, sorry. You need a BB data plan for that.

You can use Opera Mini to browse to your email site.
