Default Unlocked Cingular to Rogers - Data Connection

Please Login to Remove!

I have been told by a few people that if I get an unlocked cingular phone, that the data plan will not work on the rogers network. Can anyone let me know? SO far 3 people have told me No and 1 person told me yes. The 3 people were all rogers employee's/resellers so I am assuming they are bias.

Thanks for you help.

You must have a Rogers plan for BlackBerry Data.

A Unlock device will work just fine on the Rogers network. Signup for the rogers data plan (Get ready to be shocked with the retarded prices) and enjoy the BB!

The 3 people who told you that really don't know what they're talking about!! You can totally use an unlocked BlackBerry on the Rogers Wireless network.

see now, its our 4 against the Rogers 3 employees. We win.

Unlock and use it. AND get a Data Plan for it to work.

i have an unlocked t-mo on rogers, works fine. My question is...I signed up for the 5 dollar data plan, but i'm using the BB browser (which i read i can't do). Should i be expecting to be automatically bumped onto a Rogers BB plan, or can I stay on the $5/5MB plan?

thanks
