i just got the pearl a few days ago but didnt get the internet on it right now...how can i put ringtones on it..maybe through the USB?

USB works great. Just plug in and use your desktop manager to upload onto your BB. If you have the new DM, you will be using a program called Roxio, which at first, I found a bit confusing, but I think I kinda like it now!

Do you also have a SD card in your BB? You might want to purchase one if you dont....

You can safely load a few ringtones on the device memory of the Pearl, especially if you have no data plan. However, if you want to have much of a library you'll need the SD card. If you load up the memory of the phone too much you can lose call logs and sms messages.
