Thought i read something the other day about someone saying they are beta testing some new messenger system for blackberrries and if u want to try it out let them know.. I cant seem to find that link anymore.. And by the way to go on aim/bbmsnger/icq etc... do u need to have a data plan?

Yes, you need a data plan for BBMessenger.

On the 8100 there is a version of IM for BB that uses SMS but it's not real reliable IMO.
