Default 8100 Internal Speaker swap (not loudspeaker)

Please Login to Remove!

I'm not sure if this is known already by the majority of you, so I thought I would let everyone know. I just swapped the ear piece speaker out of my 8700 g into my 8100 and it worked perfectly.

I bought this 8100 off ebay for 25$ because the person thought it was dead, come to find out it just needed to be revived a little and the ear piece speaker needed to fixed. I couldn't find any website selling these speakers, only ones for the 8700 and 8800, etc. So I tore apart the 8700 and checked it out sure enough, same size same fit, and finally I am able to hear without the speakerphone. (this is just a back up phone for me personally) I hope this helps someone out there. Also, thanks to Steve at cnn.cn for selling these for the 8700 and giving me hope.

Thanks! I don't think I've seen that posted that the 8700 speaker is the same. Thanks for the info.
