Default 8100 Internal Speaker swap (not loudspeaker)

Please Login to Remove!

I'm not sure if this is known already by the majority of you, so I thought I would let everyone know. I just swapped the ear piece speaker out of my 8700 g into my 8100 and it worked perfectly.

I bought this 8100 off ebay for 25$ because the person thought it was dead, come to find out it just needed to be revived a little and the ear piece speaker needed to fixed. I couldn't find any website selling these speakers, only ones for the 8700 and 8800, etc. So I tore apart the 8700 and checked it out sure enough, same size same fit, and finally I am able to hear without the speakerphone. (this is just a back up phone for me personally) I hope this helps someone out there. Also, thanks to Steve at for selling these for the 8700 and giving me hope.
8700 Plays during the day, 8100 comes out at night.

Thanks! I don't think I've seen that posted that the 8700 speaker is the same. Thanks for the info.
