It got "updated" to more "correct" model numbering to reflect what RIM is doing.

It's okay. A lot of people didn't know. The 9100 (KickStart) was renamed to the 8220 and the 9110 (SeaWolf) was renamed to the 8210.

Does that mean they are 900 less better than before?
Why ask why?

I think the 9000 numbering category is being saved for devices that have 3g and a updated processor if I am not mistaken....then again I could be giving incorrect info there

as for the difference between the 8220 and the 8210? Eh you got me...
I would guess the difference would be gps and wifi?

Anyone know if there is going to be 9000 version of this phone or the pearl...I mean I assume the will come out with updated guts sooner or later I just want the update in 3g and in processing sooner rather then later...love the suretype style just not the slowness....
