Exclamation Video Encoding for the BBFlip - 11-01-2008, 11:49 PM

how? :D

I am using the same encoding as I would for the 8100 series. I just found a video in my new flip where it shows it full screen horizontally!!! I was wondering if anyone knew how to encode vids like that...?

I am still trying to play with numbers and figure it out myself...

just use the Roxio converter that came with the phone. It's an extra step, but it works

Smile I Found A Rotator - 11-10-2008, 07:12 PM

i found a converter that flips and converts. the compression is not great and not many settings to choose from but click start and it saves to 240x320 for full screen horizontal video. the file is VideoConverter[MeizuMe.com].rar and can be found http://meizume.surfterror.com/files/...uMe.com%5D.rar

enjoy..

downloaded the converter but the app doesn't work. I browse for a video file, but when I click "start" to begin the converting process, the app doesn't do anything. FYI - the encode section is all grayed out and it doesn't list anything in there, perhaps that may help with figuring out why I'm having this issue. Thanks!

To view the videos in widescreen any encoder that is able to resize it to 320x240 and rotate the video will work like quicktime pro or virtualdub. I prefer avidemux at the moment which is an open source encoder.

What I'd like to know is what quality is working for everyone. No matter the format, unless the video is at 15fps, the video is always much slower then the audio unless I decrease the video bitrate to below 200. Is anyone having similar results no matter the encoder or format they are using?

I'd like to encode at 24fps with atleast 300kbps but I'm afraid this phone just can't handle videos at that quality. Has this worked for anyone else?

the encoder in this thread is excellent for the videos. it does 18fps by default and that looks fine on the screen
