I am looking for a new phone. I currently use a SIM unlocked Tilt, and I am tired of Win Mo[I call it Slo Mo].

I was goping to get a Bold, but research has shown alot of dropped calls on that device - So I have been looking at other Blackberry's.

The other one I really like is the Pearl Flip.

My question is, If I get an unlocked PF, how will that work w/ AT&T as far as firmware updates, etc..?

It will be perfectly fine on ATT.

I have had a Bold on ATT since before ATT got the device, and having very little trouble with it. No more dropped calls than usual.

I have an unlocked Flip on AT&T with no problems at all. Did the OS upgrade with no trouble. Everything works great.

to smpst46: do you have a data plan for BB? I have been having trouble getting the MMS service books over to my unlocked TMO 8220 (v4.6.0.180(Platform 4.1.0.61)). I was told by a BB ATT rep that BB's with OS V4.3 and later have the option to send and receive all MMS formats(pic, vid, etc...) without having a data plan. I have the unlimited txting plan. My phone is up to date, running a version higher than v4.3, yet i still can't get the service books for MMS. I have even tried my sim in a TMO 8100 running v4.5.0.55 (Platform 2.7.0.68) and it works just fine. any help, suggestions, i just can't get this to work.....

With a T-Mobile BB on AT&T you will need an AT&T BB data plan to get the books for MMS. Use the plan for a month and then cancel if you want and the books remain.
