Default please help! outside buttons and screen don't work - 12-21-2008, 03:44 PM

hi all and thanks in advance for all the help.

I updated to the latest os v4.6.0.180 (which is the latest os on T-Mobile website as of today)

now, my outside buttons and screen don't work. I only see the t-mobile picture on the outside screen.

the buttons don't work either when the phone is closed. I modified the settings to make a tone when the button is pushed. with the phone closed, the buttons make a tone but they don't do anything..

I set the options for outside screen and buttons to defaults as mentioned in one of the posts here and still nothing, dont' know what else I can do, please help.

thanks

I think there is only two things left you can do.

Wipe the BB clean of the OS and reinstall it, and/or take it to a service center and hope that it can be swapped under warranty.

I would try the wipe and reinstall of the OS. It's a pain in that it takes about an hour and then some to do it but it just might work.

wiping the bb clean and reinstalling the .180 OS a couple of times didn't do it.
but installing .200 worked the first time.. I'm good to go. thanks.
