I'm currently on the uk network O2 and everytime i send i text message from my Pearl flip phone i never get delivery reports however using my Bold phone on Orange i do get delivery reports
Is this a fault with the OS/Phone or is it a choice made by the carrier?
Thanks for the swift reply however i should've elaborated a bit more rather than giving scarce details...
I have already switched the Delivery Report features on however i still do not get the small D for delivered like i do on my Bold.
I contacted O2 and they said that the Pearl Flip does not support it - then again this is coming from the same tech dept who told me the Pearl Flip doesn't have Wi-Fi so i'm a bit dubious to their claim
Do any US Pearl Flip owners have the delivery report feature switched on? And if so does it work and what network are you on?
My Pearl Flip (Tmo, unlocked using on AT&T in the U.S.) doesn't even have that option in Options >> SMS Text
There is no setting for "Delivery Report"
If i recall correctly my current OS v4.6.0.200 is the T-Mobile software for the Flip so it might be worthwhile downloading that version of OS and see if that opens up the option...
Options on the device differ depending on what OS you got is what i've found regardless of what BB i've used...
I can't help but notice the in your sig next to 8220 with v4.6.0.200
Is that a commentary on the OS or the 8220? If it's the OS, then I might not want to upgrade to ...200 just yet.

Thanks for your input.
It's a comment on the 8220 itself - the OS is by far the best but that still doesn't excuse it's poor performance compared to the Bold anyways...
Iv not been able to get proper delivery reports since my 7100 which was on tmobile. When I moved to o2 and got my 8100 ages ago I stopped getting the little d by the sent tick as delivery reports, and there still not there on my 8220. so its an o2 fault, either they dont support them, or dont support them for blackberry pearl at least.
My old 8700 was on o2 and I never got delivery reports; whereas when I changed to my 8820 on Orange I did get delivery reports. It does seem to be carrier specific in the UK too.
