Default Water damage according to the battery?? - 02-27-2009, 03:00 AM

Me and my girlfriend both have the same phone but my battery has scattered patterns and hers has a straight red line (through the white part on the battery at the bottom). Do either of these things indicate water damage at all?

That's just the way they are. Someone said the rounded batteries have one pattern and more squared off ones have the other.

These water damage sensors are so sensitive that high humidity for more than a day can cause them to trigger and show alleged water damage. The carriers know this and make allowances for it.

It is NOT, a liquid indicator.

Call RIM up themselves, and they'll answer it.

I personally tested this with over 15 different BB batteries in a thread a while back.

NOT liquid indicators at all.

thanks for the answers....I see one person to call RIM? I will do that. I was thinking maybe my model was different than hers because both our phones is the same but it came with different batteries and battery chargers. My phone has been losing signal when it wants to, slips into SOS all the time and even just freezes for awhile for no reason. I have dropped the phone but it started doing these things a little over a month after my purchase and that was before I dropped the phone.
