Smile Newbie to BB with questions D: - 06-13-2009, 12:55 AM

lots of (perhaps stupid) questions; (:

1. How do I transfer my songs/ring tones onto my BB? I tried the media snyc thing but it said "Unsupported operating system detected" and closed

2. Where do I download (free) apps and wallpapers and how do I put them on?

3. Can I change the menu background?

Thanks, please take pity on me D:

p.s I have windows 2000

Wirelessly posted (My Bold)

1. You can do it from windows (assuming you have a memory card). In my computer, it will pop up with a device after u pluhg it in. That will be the memory card. Drag and drop it in the correct folder based on music/picture/ringtone

2. Check the aftermarket section here for just about everything. For apps, many will have an ota link (over the air). Just click on the link and hit install. The berry will handle the rest. As for wallpapers, it will auto save to the pictures folder on ur memory card

3. No, this is controlled by your theme. U will need a new theme to change it.

Welcome to the BB world and to BBF

Thanks for the reply. (:

When I plug in my BB to my comp, a new disk shows up in 'My Comp' but I cannot open it, it tells me to insert a disk.

Gahhh frustrating = =
Is the BB compatible with windows 2000?

Not sure what you are seeing or trying to access...You do have a media card in your phone?

Make sure you read through this thread...it will save you a lot of aggravation and really shorten up that BB learning curve:

For your specific problem right now scroll to the Media Card and General Media FAQ's section.
