I was wondering how to crop the pictures when I choose to set one as a contact id. I can't move the box or the picture around. Also, Can I set an animated gif for one and have it show up on the external display?

I don't think that animated gif are supported... but you can simply choose the picture and hit the Menu button, then go down to "Set to Caller ID"... when you do this, I vertical frame will appear and you can move it around the picture, also you can use numbers 3 and 9 for zoom in or out to fit better the picture in the box... Then hit menu again and "Crop and Save"... it will open your contact list so you can choose to whom assign...
