Default accidental deletions - 07-28-2009, 03:58 PM

Hi--

Somehow I've deleted Memo Pad and the text message notifier icon on my BB Pearl Flip. No idea how.

How would I get them reinstalled?

Thanks much!

Lise

I have not have this issue... but I think you could download the OS matching the version you are using, and try to install just some applications.. not everything...
Another idea could be to open Desktop Manager and see if under App Instaler you see the boxes for the applications you deleted... and checkmark them...
Good Luck

Are you sure you deleted the entire application, or just the icons? If you accidentally hid the icons, you can fix that. As far as re-installing the applications, I would first go under options-advanced options-applications. It will load a list of your currently installed apps. If you don't see those apps in the list, I would do what the previous poster suggested and try loading them from the Blackberry Desktop Software. I'm new to my BB flip, so I hope you find out how to do this from someone who knows more than me!

Thanks for the suggestions! I don't know if I deleted just the icons, or the whole app. Something to check, anyway. I'll do that as soon as I've got a moment.

I do seem to still have the apps, but not the icons.

So, how do I get the icons to show up? Have never done that before.

Thanks for the help--

Welcome to the forums.

From the home screen, press the menu key and select Show All. You should see some icons grayed out. Highlight one of the grayed out icons and press the menu key and uncheck Hide.

Thank you! That worked with MemoPad.

But I don't see any grayed-out icon for MMS and SMS, so I can't unhide them. Yet they appear in the apps list. I'm sure I remember that that icon was there, and when I had text messages it had a star on it. But I don't know when it disappeared, as I don't get a ton of text messages.

Sorry to seem so ignorant!

Go into your Messages > Press the Menu Key > Select Options > Select General Options > Set Email & SMS as separate.

Goodness me, I didn't even know all that was there! Now I do.

Thanks much for the education, all--you ROCK!
