Question How does the front of the phone hold up? - 08-24-2009, 10:10 AM

I'm just wondering to all of you which had the phone for a while, does the front, when closed scratch up easily/overtime or is it somewhat scratch "resistant"?

Wirelessly posted

Was wondering that myself. There seems to be a lot of open face on them.
Maybe you can have it replaced like a watch crystal?

Early after I bought this phone I place 2 screen protectors on it... One on the whole front from under the camera to the curve bottom (near 3.5" diagonally) and another on the inside, meant for a bold screen, but this fits great from left to right and exceeds up and down a bit.

Due to falls, and normal usage, maybe keeping phone sometimes with keys... the front protector is a little bit scratched, but the external screen is highly visible.... also the 2 unprotected areas to the side of the camera are not scratched at all...

The inside suffers from scratches caused by the "BB Menu" and "Back" buttons which (at least in my case) are a tiny bit higher than the rest... and the thickness of the protector makes contact.... though I prefer its that than the screen...

I recommend to do this with your new phone... Both my screens are NEW unscratched
