Default Blackberry 8220: Appstore? - 09-07-2009, 01:46 PM

Hi All,

First of all, this is my first post so sorry if it is innapropriate, I tried to post at the right place. Second, sorry for my english, I am trying my best lol :P

Let me explain you my problem;

I have a Blackberry 8220 Flip

When I go to the appworld with my mobile, and I try to download it, it tells me that appworld is not available for my mobile at the moment. I saw that I need a 4.2 version or something like that. This is my configuration:

BlackBerry 8220 Terminal mobile (EDGE, Wi-fi)
v4.6.0.174 (Plate-forme 4.1.0.58)
Cryptographic Kernel v.3.8.5.50a
Configuration Micro Edition: 1.0.107.45

I already put the CD that came with my mobile in my computer, I plugged my blackberry to my computer and it made the update...

Now my question is, is there anyway I can use the appworld with my mobile? If not, can I download applications with my computer and transferm them to my mobile? If I can, how?

Thanks

Then you wont get Blackberry App World, as it requires a Blackberry data plan to download, and to use.

Ok, thanks for your answer.

I understood that I can't get Blackberry App World from my mobile. But is it possible to download some applications in my computer and to transfer them to my mobile?

There is an online (pc accessible) version of app world.
I dont know how it works in regards to downloading apps.

some places (google them) that has apps have .alx file formats allowing you to load with desktop manager.
but most apps run on data, depending what kind of apps you want.
