Default Use my US 8220 (ATT) in Australia?

Several years ago I spent time in the UK with an older cell phone. Cingular promised me that it would work, it didn't.

I now have a ATT 8220 BB and will be traveling to Australia with a stop in New Zealand in January. What do I need to do ahead of time to insure that it will work when I get there? Basically all I use is the phone and E-mail.

If your device is fully functional here then contact at&t to see what their international coverage is for your BB in the areas you will be traveling. You might want to add an international plan if availabe for those areas.
