Default Pearl flip durability

Just recently picked up a Tmobile Pearl flip, replacing my HTC Shadow which bit the dust after the screen came unglued from the slider brace. So I have been fairly happy with the flip, not as crazy about the browser but I can make it work for the amount I am using the web. I am really suspect of the build quality, it just feels like its not going to hold up--creaks when you press a lot of keys and since you are forced to be doing a lot of scrolling with the trackball (esp. when using a browser) that thing seems destined to break sooner rather than later. Can anyone comment on how its held up after a few months now that some of you have had the phone since it came out? I got this one at the $59.99 price, but I didn't add the service plan but I am thinking I might want to add it---I don't want to have to replace this phone again before my contact runs out.

I have had my phone since november 20th and it has held up ok but the overall quality of the phone has not been that well. I have dropped it maybe four times since I had it and it has went from pocket to phone holster and its just not as sturdy as it was when I got it. It has never taken any big crazy drops and it just feels cheap. I thought it would be better but I most admit that I am not to crazy about this phone at all.
