Unhappy Unable to access memory card in 8220

Hi

I have a BB 8220 that is unlocked. I am not able to access my micro sd card in the phone. someone please help. also please let me know how to format my card through the phone.

I am not aware of any way to format the card on the phone; I have always used an adapter and formatted it on a PC/laptop.

Is it not recognized at all?

Default I'm new too, and just had the same problem
This may sound silly, and I too am new to the 8220, but when I was setting up my new phone I removed the 258mb card and put in a 4gb card. I couldn"t find it everytime I tried. Then I removed the card while the phone was on and it said "sd card removed", so I re-inserted the card while the phone was on and and it said "sd card inserted". I havent had a problem since
