Default Google Maps direction preferences.

So I was screwing around with Google Maps for the first time on my 8300. Just for fun I asked for directions from my house to work. Popped up relatively quick and I saw how to zoom in and navigate for the first time. Pretty remarkable if you ask me. As I was following along the route I noticed that it definitely wasn't the shortest distance to my destination. I then went online to the regular google maps and did the same directions and I got a much shorter and more direct route.

I looked both in the mobile version and the online version of maps and I didn't see an option for "shortest route" or "shortest time" or anything like that.

Anyone else notice this or know why this might be? I think it's great to have directions available to me on whim, but if they aren't very direct what's the use?

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 8700g: BlackBerry8700/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

I haven't seen this option either. Not sure WHY that option isn't in there, but it definitely doesn't look like it is there.
