Is there some sort of ad blocking application (ie adblock for firefox) for the BB browser? Thanks

Umm, those are pop ups that are intended for a PC, they really don't execute the same on a BB. In otherwords, I think you'd be hard pressed to find a website that will create "pop up" advertising on your blackberry.

Just try using it for a while and see if you think you still have a need for an advertising filter. I think you'll find that you don't have a need for it when browsing mobile web pages.
