Default BB Messenger Confusion

Please Login to Remove!

OK Sorry if this is a repost, but I'm confused when I look at the specs for the BB messenger and JiveTalk.

Can I use JiveTalk and still talk to my contacts through their BB Messenger? I know JiveTalk supports AOL, MSN etc... but does it support BB Messenger too?

BBMessenger is Blackberry to Blackberry only - cannot talk to anyone on AOL, MSN, etc.

JiveTalk supports all the others, though. I use both.

Yeah I know BB messenger is BB to BB. But if I install JiveTalk to talk to my other contacts who have other services. Will I have to go back and use Blackberry Messenger to talk to my BB contacts or can I do that through JiveTalk.

In other words can JiveTalk replace my BB Messenger or will I need both.

BBMessenger uses the PIN number of the Blackberry device. The others use that person's AIM/Yahoo/MSN username (that they can make whatever they want).

If you want to talk to someone on BBMessenger, you need BBMessenger.

Like I said, I have/use both.

Does BB Messenger use text messaging, or data plan?

I tried adding a buddy of mine to the bb messenger list via bb messenger. He has a bb, and I have his pin. I went through the menu options to add him, and it only gave me the option to invite him using his email account. I are confoozed.
