upgrade question

i want to upgrade my blackberry 8300 to the 8310 (i got my blackberry september 1 2007) i was told by a friend that i would have to pay full price, instead of the upgrade price, because i am a new user, is that true?

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8700/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

After 30 days you will have to pay full retail of 449.

its been around 50 days since i became a blackberry user, would that mean i am legible for an upgrade instead of paying the full retail?

No, you're not going to be eligible for an upgrade until you get to the end of your contract, however long that is. Unfortunately, that's the way it is. :-(

Just buy a BT GPS puck. They work well, are very small, and they are cheap. I bought one for around $50 on Amazon. Built-in GPS isn't worth the $ to upgrade even at the subsidized IMO.
