Default Desktop Manager help

Please Login to Remove!

Hi to all...a newbie to the forums.

I've searched but not found a direct answer to my simple problem, so here goes.

My 8300 is on a company account... get and send email no problem...anyway I ddecided to install the desktop manager onto my personal PC (not company) as i wanted to load some music and videos ,however it keeps changing my service books and taking my email address. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, however as I've had to get my company to resend the service books twice I'm a little hesitant to try and instal the desktop manager again.

Does anyone know how I can load it without it making any changes to th BB at all?

Thanks

Are you on BES, if so "they" (the people who run your BES) might be restricting your being able to download anything to your device.

yes I'm on BES.... the 8300 was supplied to me through the company I work for.

I only want to instal the software (desktop Manager with Roxio) onto my PC at home without altering any settings on the phone.

I've done it twice and been able to put music and videos on the phone, though realised that when installing Desktop Mgr it had changed my service books

BIS ? is that the Internet Service option. I will give it a go and see what happens....

Installed...and so far so good..... no change in the service books... and can use media manager to put music and vids on. will check tomorrow when sending and receiving emails...but I'm optimistic.

thanks for the help and advice from all
