The bottom front of mine is squeaking, mainly to the left of the T-Mobile Logo, sometimes to the right. I would love to hear that it is happening to some other people and it is just normal for 2 pieces of plastic meeting.

Otherwise, is this not normal? Is there a way to lift off the front face and re-snap it together?

I thought I could be having an obsessive night Still could be tho, a lot of us techies could be the same

It sucks tho. A lot of the ones that sell them look at you trying to show them the noise a corner of this little device makes and they think u are crazy, first, and second, can't even hear it.

lemme know what u are gonna do. I may sleep on it and see if it is ok in the am

thx
eric

On my third curve. First one was rock solid. Had reception problems though, intermittent signal.

On to second one, shocked at the housing, felt cheap compared to my first one. Huge gap on the bottom, left corner and the bottom piece with the logo was so off. Device would squeak whenever I type or squeeze the bottom. This too was plagued with reception problem, lost reception indoors in places I never had issues.

On third curve. So far working great. Starting to look the same as my previous device. This one, more solid than my second curve by far but not as the first. Still a small gap in the bottom left corner, but it doesn't move or sqeak. However the right side where the convienence key is sqeaks and pushes in a bit.

Oh well. At least one finally works. Kinda disapointing when the dummy phone is more solid and tight. Blah!

Not all 83xx series have dust issues. I've had no dust issues with the 8300, 8310 or 8320. Our offices are full of 83xx users and not a single person has experienced a dust issue. My friends who own 83xx devices have never experienced dust issues either.

My new 8310 that I received last week is definitely poorly assembled. The bottom half of the front faceplate is separated from the body and the keyboard is way too loose. It was built in Canada but the inside looks like a refurb.

Anyways, I'm having a replacement shipped this week and hope to get a better built one by Thursday. I kind of miss my 8100 already, it was definitely tightly assembled, no squeaks, nothing.

The right side of mine was incredibly squeaky. I thought I was being too particular, but I also noticed the top portion was slightly raised higher on one side, and any contact caused the rubber to peel away.

I called T-Mobile and they are sending a replacement. Hopefully it is not a refurb and I have more issues than I bargained for.

If you are within 14 days, take it back. If you are not, it may be worth a call (as mine was).

The first one that I had, had the same issue. Used to squeak at the bottom left hand corner, the piece that has T-mobile on it used to move and click into position then slowly slide back out.

Got it exchanged. The new one does not squeak.

The piece that says T-mobile has a slight movement. However I would like to point out that the ones on Demo at all stores I've been to have had that issue and none of them had the bottom left hand squeaking issse.

If your BB does that get it exchanged. T-Mobile reps are pretty good about it, no questions asked.

Mine is caving in on the right side around the volume buttons. I'm sure it has to do with the buttons being flush with the side rails. I'm terrified to return mine for a refurb so I will wait it out and just order a new side rail if it comes to that...

p.s.
My sister has a titanium Curve and now wants a gold one. I have found the gold faceplate but I'm still looking for the back door and bottom piece that hold them together. Can anyone help me out? Thanks.
