Default Ordered the Data plan...still not here??

Please Login to Remove!

I ordered the data plan today @4pm...it is now 11pm...still not here...they said it would install within 45min-upto 2hrs. I have pulled the battery in hopes of restarting it and the service books installing when it restarted...no luck.
Any clue why data plan and BIS is not installed yet?

TMo will also tell you it can be up to 24 hours, although that is extremely rare. No clue why its taking time for you.

Pulling the battery will have the same effect and more.

If a battery pull again doesn't get it, call them up.

Did you go to the BIS website for T-Mobile and try to register there? Sometimes doing that will send your device the startup information it needs.

Make sure they entered your plan correctly. When I bought my curve last week they accidentally set me up with a palm data plan (which was the same price). I finally had to call to get it switched over to BB plan. It has happened to quite a few.

the only reason I am doing this is because from what I understand some people are getting the gmail app to work after getting rid of the data plan because they have the data plan service books installed....so I am going to get the service for a day ...get the service books...then get rid of the plan so that I can use the Gmail App over wifi without having a data plan.

You realize as soon as you reset the device you lose those service books right?

I was using the Wi-fi browser just fine on my 8320....but was not able to check my e-mail on the Gmail App....I could check it just fine on the webpage....but I like the user interface of the Gmail app.....so I would like to be able to use the App without having the data plan....people on this forum are saying they can do it....but I was having problems getting it to work...after I got the login screen and clicked login....it would say loading then give me some error saying that it was temporarily unavailable and to try back later....said that for over a week. So some members on here suggested it may be that I am missing some service books that I could only get by having that data plan and then after I get them, cancel the data plan and gmail app should work just fine over Wifi without the data plan on my account.

Any suggestions into this?

Others have seemed to have it working on wifi...so I hope I will be able to also.
